Hi everyone, as the title explains. 4 years well – 3.6 years of being unable to stay asleep I wake up every hour to 2 hours and i am just exhausted now. It all started October 2015 after a massive panic Attack, I slept for 10 hours in 10 days and ended up with sleep dep psychosis. Since then I have tried numerous medications they don’t help and have tried excercisng that doesn’t help either. I now am constant anxious, dizzy, sick feeling because of this lack of sleep. I suffer from dissociation which won’t go away because I just can seem to stay asleep help 🙁

Have you tried the free insomnia sleep training Martin offers on this site? I am on Day 4 and at the least, it has cleared up some misconceptions about sleep for me which has probably led to some reduced anxiety about sleep on my part. Other than that, I can only tell you that we are all in the same boat here. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Welcome to the forum, Halex. Sorry to hear about your struggles with sleep. Do you have any idea why you seem to wake so often during the night? When you do wake, what do you think stops you from easily falling back to sleep?

Are you currently receiving medical treatment for dissociation? Have you discussed with your doctor whether you’d be a good candidate for CBT-I?
