      My biggest concern related with poor or no sleep is nervousness, anxiety i feel as night approaches. Also, Anyone talking about sleep makes me nervous and i get jealous when i see people sleeping. My partner snoring also makes me anxious.
      I am trying to deal with it but it is hard.

          Hi Scott 🙂

          My worries include how i will spend the night and the day after will be not as productive. Also, I feel like it might continue forever, thus incredibly lowering the quality of my life.

          Steps i take now:-
          1) I realize, i can manage just fine without sleep for a night or two. On the third night i will fall asleep anyway, if not, i take a small pill.

          2) I get up and walk around the house if i cant sleep, or watch tv. I do that multiple times a night and then try sleeping.

          3) I am learning to realise i can function fine even without sleep. I am not afraid of not sleeping, i am afraid of lowering the quality of life because of sleep and the anxious feeling i get every day and night. I want to lower that.

            @Skyee,

            The steps you’ve outlined above are excellent and can have real benefits if you remain consistent in your implementation of them. How long have you been using those techniques and how have the results been? Are you implementing CBT-I techniques through Martin’s free 14-day course?
