I began my sleep restriction yesterday but am finding it impossible to gauge how much sleep I got, time spent awake etc..my problem is that I sleep/wake every few minutes and am constantly aware. So the only thing I can actually moniter is when I go to bed and when I get out of bed. I know that I have had very little sleep because I feel exhausted and fatigued all day. I don’t nap during the day as I find it impossible to fall asleep but do need to lie down to rest my body so that I can carry on. There are days when I don’t actually fall asleep and know that I need to get up and do something, then go back to bed. Feel like a wreck. Anyone else having these issues?

Yikes, I feel exhausted and fatigued on many days — and I sleep well 🙂

When you had no concern about sleep, were you tracking your sleep so closely? If not, why start now? If you find that trying to track your sleep is making things more difficult then you might want to move away from doing so. Many people find that it isn’t helpful — you aren’t alone there!

Are you currently following any kind of sleep window? How are you getting on with it?
