      Hi everyone
When I did my sleep diary my average is 4.8 hours sleep, its become less since starting CBTi. I have my sleep window at 5.5 hours, I am wondering if it needs to be less? I have read everywhere that you should not allocate a sleep window of less than 5.5 hours but if I am still spending a good chunk of the night associating my sleep window with wakefulness and anxiety would I benefit from reducing it?

How long have you been implementing a sleep window of 5.5 hours? As you pointed out, that’s already quite short — if you were to reduce it any further I wouldn’t suggest going below 5 hours.

PS: It’s OK to spend time awake at night — wakefulness is a normal part of sleep and usually becomes a problem only when we try to fight or avoid it 🙂
