      Hello All,

Started to do a sleep window about two weeks ago. Average sleeping about 5 hours per night before starting. Sleep window started at 11pm – 5:30. Was super tired at 11pm and able to sleep thru to 5:30 with several waking sessions during the night. That proceeded for 3-4 days, then decided to start weaning off of 2mg of Lunesta. Went down to 1.5 mg for the last three days and have gone to sleep at 11pm but am waking at 4am and not able to go back to sleep. Goal is to slowly keep weaning off of sleep medicine, just wondering if I should adjust my sleep window to correct for the 4am waking?

      Thanks in advance.

Hello. I don’t think you should adjust your sleep window at all because it is already the minimum. Just continue what you are doing, temporary setbacks are very common especially when you start making changes like adjusting your sleep medications and don’t let these discourage you. Part of the recovery is to remain strong, steadfast and disciplined and to perservere even in the face of adversity. Good luck to you and I hope you find recovery soon.
