That must be very frustrating for you. What do you think stops you from falling back to sleep once you wake at or before 4:00 AM?

Five hours. If I could be guaranteed that every night, I’d be a very happy man.

It’s all relative isn’t it, this sleep thing!

is that every night? on weekdays i always wake up right around 5, and i think it’s because one of my neighbors is slamming his car door loudly when he leaves for work even though i don’t consciously hear it. this doesn’t happen on weekends, so that’s why i think it’s neighbor/work related. do you have loud neighbors?

I have the same issue. I often wake up around 4-5:30am. My wife usually goes to bed around that time so I may be programmed to wake up at that time even if she decides to stay on the couch a bit longer until I wake up at 7.
