I seem to have a time periodically where I want to sleep a lot. By this I mean I may go to bed Saturday night and (except to eat and go to bathroom, etc.) not get up until Monday morning. Although I “pay for” sleeping excessively with a few nights of trouble getting to sleep, it also seems to do something for me in terms of how I feel like not feeling quite so dozy. In these periods of a long sleep, it seems like I wake up a lot, seem to sleep more lightly and dream a lot.
Does anyone else have this? Is this a condition?

        Greetings!
The symptoms you describe is normal because you are too well rested! Oversleeping is like overeating, it won’t make any normal person feel good. A normal lifestyle should incorporate balanced amounts of rest and mental/physical stimulation by being up and about during your wakeful hours.
