      Hi everyone,

I’m really desperate. A few weeks ago all of the sudden my heavy insomnia started and since then I haven’t been able to fall asleep normally. Even with drugs (tried Ambien, Trazodone, some Antihistamines) I don’t even sleep a couple of hours a night.

Lorazepam ist the only thing that works – of course I know that this is not a long term solution.

The problem is that it is so hard to figure out where the insomnia comes from and because I have always struggled with anxiety as well I don’t even know if if the insomnia had developed a dynamic of its own apart from the original cause.

It feels so lonely like everyone around me is sleeping well and I’m the only one doomed to that kind of suffering.

My doc just said that she is hopful that – because it came literally out of the blue – we’ll find a solution soon and I’m going to feel better. But I don’t believe her anymore…feels like everything isn’t working.

Please, anyone with same experience out there?
      C
