Someone wakes you up abruptly and you cant get back to sleep. It seems I am so sensitive since I got insomnia. I have been sleeping good except the other night my husband sees me on the couch at 12 and yells Are you asleep? I usually fall asleep on the couch and go to bed at 12 but my husb went to the bathroom and when he yelled I could not go back to sleep.

The same thing happened today, I was going to take a quick nap and my husband sees me still and says are you sleeping? Well I am thinking not now. I have told him just to not talk to me if I am still. But it seems so crazy to be this sensitive. Maybe it will get better in time. Otherwise I am thankful to be sleeping good, I sleep 12 until 6 or 7 in the morning and very thankful.

I dont know how to respond to being woken up. I have learned I cant control sleep, I have learned I can just lay there and relax and eventually I go back to sleep.

“I can just lay there and relax and eventually I go back to sleep.” – So what’s wrong with that response? And why is being woken up even a problem at all?
