Well it seems my Sonata finally quit working for me. Back to the drawing board. I guess I'll try this other newish medicine that came out recently but I don't remember the name. I think the name is similar to Sonata.

What a pain this is. I'm sitting here at almost 3am wide awake. I think I'll just beg my doctor to prescribe a muscle relaxer such as the one my mom takes, as that always knocks me out. Never fails. That or I'll bug my GP to prescribe it on the pretense that my fibromyalgia is bad. Which it tends to linger but my Relafen usually takes care of it pretty well. Hell I'll give up relafen if he will prescribe Xanaflex or Zanaflex or however it's spelled.

Saw on a blog post here that cottage cheese among other foods have a good amount of tryptophan in it but eating 2 servings (1 cup) of it so far has done nothing for me in the way of sleeping. Oh well.

I hope things are well with you all. HUGS

Ugh, sorry to hear about the Sonata failing you, Brittany. It's terrible when you think you've stumbled upon something that helps only for it to prove ineffective. On the positive side, at least you won't end up relying on medication (or at least that single type) on a long-term basis.

Have you given CBT a try?

Hmm No I haven't tried CBT. I'll look into it. Thanks 🙂

I'm now on Silenor which seems to be working –for now. But in the mean time I'll definitely research what CBT is and how it's done. Thanks 🙂
