My husband has bad sleep apnea and uses a cpap. It needs to be readjusted again. He has breathing issues that are loud and keeps me awake and wakes me up when I do fall asleep. He body twitches too. I have Fibromyalgia and my whole body hurts. Some parts more than others. I flip flop to get comfortable. I don’t take any meds. Our bed is too small and can’t get a king right now. Have gone to guest bedroom and sleep sometimes. The bed is not comfortable for me. So tired .

I have the EXACT same situation with my hubby!  I just went through an awful bout of insomnia.  I am now able to get a few good nights, but they are usually when he is in the guest room (which makes me and him feel awful 🙁 )  Besides that, he gets up at 4:30-4:45 for work, so is laying down by 9 and out by 9:30.  The one thing that seems to be helping me a bit with my sleep is forcing myself to get up at the same time EVERY day and go to sleep around the same time (within 30 minutes depending on how tired I am).  However, this means not climbing into bed until 10:30 when he is already in a deep sleep and getting up at 7, which means he wakes me while getting up for work.  This works great while he is in guest room, but doesn’t help us to sleep together!  You’re not alone!!  I am considering for the fall-winter months to try and start getting up much earlier so that I can perhaps fall asleep before or even with him.  Do you guys have a similar sleep schedule?

Were you able to sleep when you shared a bed with your husband before he started using the CPAP machine, Tink001? I would suggest that you accompany your husband to his follow-up so you can raise your concerns. This may help improve both your husband’s sleep as well as your own.
