After suffering from insomnia for more than a decade I took Martin’s 8-week insomnia program. Six month later my sleep quality is still very good. According to my sleep program, my sleep has gotten consistently better every month over the last 6 months. This tells me that not only do the techniques I learned work, but that they also gradually helped me improve my sleep quality and quantity over time. This month I averaged 7hr 15min of sleep with an average efficiency of 90%. The only time I have insomnia now is when I don’t follow the rules that I learned during Martin’s program. A couple of months ago I posted about the many things that I found to be successful, but to be brief here, the sleep restriction technique he taught me fixed my sleep issue, the sleep hygiene techniques he taught me keep me sleeping well. These sleep hygiene techniques include going to bed and waking up at the same time each day, and having an effective sleep buffer. The other thing that made a huge difference was adding meditation during my sleep buffer. When I watch TV during the sleep buffer, my sleep quality is noticeably reduced. Electronic devices are not good for sleep. I hope this helps everyone. I wish you all the best of luck.

Congratulation! It would be great if you could share with us what techniques have you applied during your recovery. This problem has bothered me for over 1.5 years, and it seems like a black hole… Thank you, and I wish you the best.
