Still struggling to sleep

      Back in December I had a bad chest cold and the medicine for it was keeping me awake at night. For whatever crazy reason this triggered my insomnia which scared me badly and quickly turned to anxiety. Of course the dr gave me sleep pills which I took for a month and realized that wasn’t the solution. I only sleep for 3-4 hrs then wide awake. I began researching and found Martin on YouTube and podcast. After listening to several of Martins podcasts I started right up with sleep restriction and a sleep window of 12-5:30. This began to work initially and I got too excited and spread my window too quickly. Now Im having to start over again. But I do believe this will work eventually because I saw that first glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. I hope to learn how to navigate this journey by reading all your posts as well.         Thanks for sharing! Remember that the sleep window is only one tool that can be used to help move us away from chasing after sleep. It cannot generate sleep or control sleep since sleep cannot be controlled!
