OK, yes this is a bit silly, but it should be fun, too!
If you could have any superhero power, what would it be and why?
I can never decide between invisibility or being able to fly. If I really had to choose, I'd go with flying – I can't imagine a single boring moment. Invisibility just sounds like an expensive lawsuit waiting to happen, but it could be a lot of fun, too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWiaeMvYuBc

I would want the power to heal myself and others! I can't stand when those around me are suffering and I think it would be awesome to place my hands on them and heal a wound, or cancer, or even insomnia.
If I were to do something a little less selfless it would be to have a siren like voice. I've seen some super powers where the person can coax other people. I'd like to coax them with my voice. That would be sweet.
June 15, 2011 at 10:24 pm #12552I was going to say All Encompassing Power – which includes the ability to change anything and make people abide by your will…until I read Cherrychapstik and felt guilty. 😆
Definately would not want invisibility. There are things you just wouldn't want to hear. Flying – I can't even get on a plane, so that's out of the window too. 😮
June 16, 2011 at 10:48 am #12553I would love to be able to fly so I could see the world without spending a fortune (that I don't have!)
Anybody can be batman though, all he had was knowledge and money, neither of which are particularly super. Granted, money is harder to come by than knowledge but nobody needs mega bucks to make a difference!

Hmmm, invisibility would be interesting, but also inconvenient…too many people walking into me, I'd lose my temper 😛

As much as healing would be cool, it would almost verge on creating immortality…would that be a good thing?

Knowledge is harder to gain sometimes than wealth….but I treasure knowledge more 🙂
For me personally, I'd like to be able to bend the laws of physics (akin to Dr Manhattan from Watchmen) as there are so many good things you could do.

Knowledge is definitely more powerful than wealth but, unfortunately, the majority of the wealth in the western world is controlled by people with the opposite mindset!! It's a funny world that we live in!!

it is ironic, and idiotic! haha
June 26, 2011 at 10:36 pm #12558I'd love the superpower of clapping my hands together, shouting “LIZARD TONGUE, ACTIVATE” and my tongue magically grows 50ft long.
That'd be a fantastic superpower.
Quite a party trick to entertain the ladies at nightclubs with, too!
July 1, 2011 at 3:10 pm #12559Well I would want one of these powers, one I kinda thought up as a kid playing emulators for games.
One power would be that super string theory is real and I can control the strings resonating inside of all things. Since string theory states that deep down inside of particles, inside the smallest bit of it there's a string that resonates and basically is like a blueprint of what it does, probably a terrible explanation, I just got home from tennis and stuff.
The one that I'd want that i kinda made up as a kid playing emulators is this. The ability to save states. In emulators you could save your state as n save the game anytime and it'd go right back to that part.
I'd want to be able to save my state any time and go back to it with all the knowledge I had.
July 4, 2011 at 7:28 am #12560Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh I like this game
I would like the ability to affect time because sometimes I need more time to do things, and sometimes I am just impatient.
July 14, 2011 at 6:46 pm #12561For me, it's a toss up between gleaning information by just touching a book/ computer etc or walking through walls/ dropping through floors/ allowing objects to pass through me. Ton of fun 🙂
July 17, 2011 at 3:31 am #12562As a comic geek, this is something I've considered. Many times. In depth maybe. With others. As a very serious discussion. All in all, I think I'd like flight. Not wings, like Angel, and not something like Cannonball has. Maybe more in the vein of Ms Marvel? I'd really like to be just like Wonder Woman (what can I say, one of the first things I remember wearing is Wonder Woman Underoos 😀 ). I'd say Batman (I do have a Batman tattoo after all) but he doesn't have super powers (which, frankly, makes him the best of them all).
July 17, 2011 at 6:28 pm #12563Flight would be awesome. Talking about flight, when you dream about flying (come on, we all have) how do you do it? In my dreams I always flap my arms really fast when running and then boom, I take off. Curious to know if I'm employing the same method as others!

No flapping of arms, it's more like Superman, who just, does it.
