      The most frustrating sleep occurrence for me is that sleep is happening during time and places where and when I’m least expecting them and don’t want it to happen. When I’m standing in line, when I’m on the bus, or when I’m sitting in the dmv office, but in bed, sleep is not happening, even when I force it, which makes it worse. What is causing this? What is the science behind this?

        The human body will always generate sleep once we’ve been awake for long enough. So, if sleep hasn’t happened for a long enough period of time, it might end up happening during the day.

          Thank you so much for your response Martin. It makes sense what you’re saying. My doctors just say to try to meditation and sleeping pills. I don’t want to rely on sleeping pills though. I have been trying to use your techniques.
