      Hi!
First post. Just getting started with sticking to a sleep window.
I’m having trouble staying awake until the start of my sleep window. I often doze while watching TV with my husband in the recliner. I will doze for I’m not sure how long (5-10 min?) then wake up, try to stay alert, but doze again, and repeat. This happens for the 1-1.5 hours before bedtime/sleep window start.

Any tips for staying awake until the sleep window starts?? I don’t want to walk outside or pace my house. I would like to be able to watch tv with my husband to unwind from the day. I did switch sitting locations in the family room last night every 15 minutes which helped some. Any other ideas?

      Thanks!

        Hello Stacey 🙂

I know we have communicated separately on this, but for anyone else who might be reading I think you probably came up with the best tip all by yourself — some kind of movement.

When we are sedentary, it’s a lot easier (and more likely) that we’ll fall asleep compared to when we are physically moving. So, moving sitting locations if you want to watch TV can be helpful and, if you are someone who is less interested in watching TV at night then engaging in an activity or hobby that requires some form of movement can be helpful.
