      Hey,
      Background Info:
      – Used to sleep great
      – 5 years ago (when I started my first job out of college) I get terrible insomnia, about 1-3 hours of sleep a night
      – Started doing CBT-i stuff and for the most part it came back

The issue for me is that whenever I have something exciting going on the next day (good or bad) I still run into issues sleeping. It sucks because it’s a day when I need to be on my A-game and it just doesn’t work out. Last few times it’s been when I have a date the next day, I almost start dreading the night before the date which isn’t doing me any favors. How do I fix this?

It’s normal to experience sleep disruption the night before something “big”. If you won the lottery jackpot and were due to pick up the winnings the next day I’m certain there wouldn’t be much sleep happening that night!

All that truly matters here is what you do on the day itself. Do you decide not to go to the lottery office to claim your jackpot win because you had a really difficult night? Or do you go regardless (even though it might feel more difficult to do so)?
