I’ve dealt with varying levels of insomnia most of my life. It’s the worst it’s ever been right now. I think I’d be able to get to sleep if my body didn’t keep twitching right as I’m about to fall asleep. All different muscles twitch. Last night I remember stomach muscles, my eyebrows, my jaw…etc. It’s taking me an average of 3 hours to fall asleep. I’m starting to obsess about it because I’m so tired that it’s hard to function during the day. I’ve had multiple nights where I wouldn’t have slept at all if I didn’t give in and take a sleeping pill and even with that I get 4 hours or so.

        Welcome, @KathleenW!

You might find Martin’s video on twitches/jerks informative and have a better understanding of how to react to them – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFlxiXbYQag&t=1s

Do you have a consistent sleep window you’re adhering to each night – what time do you go to bed and what time do you get up in the morning?
