Insomnia gradually got worse. Always been light sleeper but tend to worry about what’s gone wrong during the day and mull it over in bed.
Had course of hypnotherapy over 6 months- 1 hr per week- about 2 years ago. Stopped when I changed Pilates classes.
Tried sleep apps on mobile, but not in night cos of blue light and not wanting to take mobile to bed.
      Tried deep breathing exercises.
Get up in night eventually, check on Fitbit how much sleep if any ,obtained. Try watching TV or more reading or making cuppa.
Last resort- take Zopiclone. Needed that 5 consecutive nights this week. Only meant to take it 2 times per week. Get so stressed about lack of sleep and waking up in night as well as early waking. What can I do…?

        Westbury,

You asked: “What can I do…?”

Take Martin’s 8 week course. I recently finished it and I am sleeping normally. I’m certain it will help you and you will understand what is causing the problem and how you can effectively deal with it.

It sounds as though you’ve tried a lot of different things but I don’t see any mention of cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) techniques. Is that something you’ve tried?
