Welcome to the forums, David.
Sleep studies seem to rarely help insomnia sufferers – they simply confirm what we already know (that we struggle with sleep). They rarely give us the 'why'.
Sometimes it helps to trace back the root cause of the insomnia. Did anything happen in your life that triggered your issues with sleep? Are you still on medication right now?
Please do get involved in any discussions that are of interest to you. As I tell all new members, the more you contribute to the forums here, the more you'll get out of them.
I look forward to reading more of your posts and getting to know you better.
