Should I force myself to go to bed and get out of bed at the same time everyday or sleep in so that I rest more?
Somedays when I didn’t sleep to well I sleep through my alarm, so I feel more well rested. The thing is, I hate waking up late, and it messes up my sleep schedule. I want to wake up at the same time every day but sometimes it just feels like torture.
      What should I do?
Should I brute force the days I have insomnia and wake up to a set time despite the little amount of sleep I get or do the opposite?
Like, some days I shut my eyes at 12 am and turn around on my bed for hours until I finally start sleeping. Then I wake up really late, like 1 pm.
Im on holidays and college starts pretty soon, so I need to fix it as soon as possible. But I hate the tortuous days of little sleep.

What does your experience tell you here? Does your experience tell you that it’s helpful to go to bed when you want and/or to get out of bed when you want? Does your experience tell you that those actions help you get closer to where you want to be?

If so, there’s no need to change anything. If not, perhaps exploring a change might be worthwhile.

If you have a new year of studies on the horizon, I would suggest maintaining a “getting out of bed” time, regardless of when you went to bed, or how well you slept.
That, and of course not going to bed until you’re truly sleepy, is all I will offer.
