I’ve search the Internet for about an hour and got nowhere. There say get up at this time or that time but the sun rises in North America at a 2 hour difference during the year. So if I get up the same time during the entire year then one day the sun is shining in my eyes and 6 months later it’s dark for 2 hours after I get up so if I can figure out when to get up that might help my insomnia. I like to get up before the sun but not 2 hours before. So I’m trying to figure out if I should use the sun to figure out when to get out of bed?

The best strategy here is to go to bed when you feel sleepy and to get out of bed when you wake and are ready to start your day (or when you wake and can’t fall back to sleep). You shouldn’t aim to time your sleep with the sunset and the sunrise.
