I woke up at 1.30 am, then 2.30 (when the cat came in yowling his head off) then 3.30, then 4 am and I've been awake ever since. I finally got up at 5, it's nearly 5.30 now. My brain was whizzing around again and I knew there was no chance of going back to sleep so I gave in and got up. *sigh*

I'm having a cup of hot choccy then I shall get my daughter up. She has to be up early to get ready for college. Meanwhile everyone else is blissfully asleep!! So unfair. 😡

Not quite all of us 🙂

John Watson. He is, to me, the most bad ass motherfucker that has ever lived.

Coffee is a funny old thing for me – I find it makes my heart race, but when I am feeling really tired, it doesn't really perk me up. I know that some members here actually find coffee helps them sleep!!

Great idea for a discussion topic, Bobby! I look forward to seeing what other members have to say!

Yeah, I'm one of those people who have drunk so much caffeine over the years that it either doesn't do much of anything, or it makes me tired. My morning coffee is more a ritual, which helps me wake up, than anything.

    Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?

I leave this question to someone else, since cocoa will kill me if I eat it…

Only managed to finish one Stephen King book – I don't get the hype, so I'll go with Clive Barker even though I've never read one of his books. For horror, I am a Graham Masterton man.

    Mugs or Cups?

    Muuuuuugssssss always mugs.

    Windows open, or closed?

I'm just about to start the last Harry Potter book — have also watched the previous movies on DVD, so I hope I can see Parts 1 and 2 of the movie versions of Deathly Hallows soon after I finish the book.

I think I've seen the first two movies, but I'm not watching them again, or any of the others, until they are all out on dvd. I plan to buy the whole set, and sit down and watch them all in a marathon viewing. I did just reread all the books though. Enjoyed them just as much as I did the first time I read them.

I've never tried either for insomnia, but I have very adverse reactions to sleeping pills as well.

And hey, welcome to the community!

I never turn the music off at home unless I'm watching a movie or something. If I'm not home, chances are I have my iPod on. My playlists for bedtime are timed to end an hour before I wake up. No, this doesn't keep me awake. If anything, the music in my night time playlists are very specifically chosen for tone and content that helps me sleep better than I do with out it.

So I guess I can't help you with getting rid of music in your head. My music never stops, and I always liked it that way 🙂

Has anyone ever gotten hooked on that lovely stuff called Nutella?? I can't even allow a jar in my kitchen — I won't stay away from it. Spread it on Ritz (of course!) and also pretzels — oh, yum. Maybe I'll treat myself soon.

The only sandwiches my son eats regularly are nutella and peanut butter sandwiches.

My mum likes to eat it out of the jar 😀 I used to do so, but alas, cannot now. I say, treat yourself today!
