✘ Not a clientI was in the same boat with taking 1 MG of Melatonin. I just quit taking it cold turkey by using the strategy of embracing nighttime wakefulness. In other words, I just challenged myself to remove the fear of the possibility of nighttime wakefulness, and replace it with embracing nighttime wakefulness by looking forward to doing something relaxing if the wakefulness occurs. In my case, I love to read. So, I tell myself if the wakefulness happens, I get to read, and that makes me relax and know that either way, if I sleep or not, I’ve got a plan. Using that strategy, I’ve been falling asleep naturally with no fear and no Melatonin. I also realized that I was still having some sleepless nights even when taking 1 MG of Melatonin. So, I wondered how much it was really helping anyway. Hope that helps. You can do it!

✘ Not a clientMartin – Thanks for the response. I think in answer to your question, the best strategy is, as you’ve discussed in the course, to make room for those fearful thoughts and let them exist and experience them. I’ve been working on doing that, and it does help. Also, focusing on the fact that “sleep will come” and if it doesn’t, I’ve got tools to help me experience the wakefulness in a positive light. I haven’t had a sleepless night since starting the course. I have had a couple of nights where it was hard to go to sleep, but sleep did come. I can’t thank you enough for the course, Martin!
