      I got a lot out of Martin’s course.

      Maybe the best was learning to view insomnia in a more straightforward way. It wasn’t about how emotionally damaged I must be. It was realizing that there is a name for what has really going on: sleep anxiety, and that it can take on a life of its own.

      I know it can seem so powerful, perhaps like a huge balloon towering over our entire neighborhood, then realizing it is just going to blow away, and eventually leak out to nothing. It seems so formidable, but that’s just the insomnia talking, accompanied by feelings which are so powerful that they must be true—but they’re not.

          Making it metaphorical really helps with making it more digestible rather than just negative. A balloon leaking air and then blowing away is easy and light. Well done and congratulations with your success on your journey. I hope to find my peace with insomnia. It’s been a long struggle. I’ve had 20 years now and finally found someone who dedicated their work to helping people overcome it. Thanks for sharing and thank you Martin. I’m only beginning my road to recovery. I know I have a ways to go
