      Hello,

      I just took the one year follow up survey and wanted to share some highlights with everyone. I struggled with insomnia since my teen years (I am now in my 40s). Had tried so many different things. Taking this course and listening to Martin’s podcasts has entirely changed my relationship to sleep for the better. Previously, I had so much anxiety about not sleeping, how it would impact my days and long term health.. which only fueled the struggle and a vicious anxiety / insomnia cycle. Now after having learned that all those scary studies on lack of sleep are based not on those who give themselves plenty of opportunity to sleep, but on those who deprive themselves of the opportunity, so much of my anxiety has fallen away. I know to trust that my body will sleep when it’s ready and how to make sleepless hours more tolerable through the suggestions in the course. One of the exercises that has been very helpful to me is the AWAKE exercise.
      After decades of struggle, I can now say that I am a very good sleeper most nights. And on the nights that I struggle, I get far less upset and know that it’s only temporary.

        Thanks for the update — how time flies!!!

          Hi kendra, thanks for sharing and I’m so happy you are sleeping better now..I’d like to ask how long it took for you to start sleeping better regularly after finding out the cause of your insomnia and education you needed to overcome it?
          I found out about 6 months ago and although I’m doing alot better at night with anxiety etc I’m still not sleeping great
          Thank you
