Hi, I'm new on here. I joined because I've been having trouble sleeping for a while and decided to do something about it.

October 26, 2011 at 3:38 am #13084Hello, I too have had insomnia for some time. I am presently paying close attention to my condition in hopes of finding some remedy. If I may ask, how often do you have insomnia and approximately how many hours a night do you sleep.?
October 27, 2011 at 2:59 pm #13085I usually go to bed around 11 or midnight when I get home from work and don't fall asleep until 3 or 4am, then I get up at 6 or 7 for work depending on the day. Sometimes if I have the day off I won't set my alarm so I can take sleeping pills and sleep in. Some nights I don't actually fall asleep at all by the time I have to get up for work.

October 28, 2011 at 1:44 am #13089No, not right now. Do you think until I start that in a couple of weeks it would be a good or bad idea to take sleeping pills? I used to take ambien.

I know what you mean about the not falling asleep right away. I'm sure it must be very difficult to get up in the morning after only sleeping a few hours.
October 28, 2011 at 5:58 pm #13091yeah, thanks

Well, I'm no doctor so I wouldn't like to say. Could you give the sleep clinic/sleep doctor a call and ask if it's OK to take sleeping pills before your appointment?
