      Hello, I'm new to this site. I live in the north of England. I've been increasingly insomniac for about 10 years, and I'm interested in the idea of a community of the sleepless. It will be nice to share ideas, experiences and frustrations.

      I've tried a lot of different techniques, mainly without success, and have come to the conclusion I am battling against my body clock and my obstinate mind which doesn't want to shut down like other people's do. I'm a bit fed up with reading the same advice about sleep hygiene (boring), relaxation (I'm already relaxed), deep breathing (big deal), etc.

      The one thing I can do is sleep between 6am and 9.30 from which you can deduce I am retired…..

        Welcome to the forums! Have you managed to figure out what triggered your insomnia?

        Combined, our members have tried hundreds of techniques – with varying levels of success. I'm sure you'll find the existing discussions interesting, but please don't be shy about starting a new one if you wish to discuss something that hasn't been covered.
