Is it possible to train my mind to go back to sleep with CBT-I even if I see the slightest natural light coming in when I wake up to use the bathroom Seeing natural light gives me anxiety that wake up time is imminent

The body can sleep when natural light is present and the body can sleep even when thoughts and feelings (including anxiety) are present. Sleep can, however, become a lot more difficult when we put pressure on ourselves to make it happen or when we go to war with whatever thoughts and feelings might show up at night.

How do you currently respond to waking during the night and experiencing anxiety when you see natural light? What have you been learning from that?

I just go into a downward spiral of looking for answers to help with not waking up or other solutions and I am too frustrated to have seen the light to go back to sleep. Because I have made myself believe that it’s impossible to fall asleep once you see even the tiniest glimpse of natural light. I am thinking that the alarm will go off any minute

I also wanted to know if you’re physiologically hardwired to not be able to sleep if you see some natural light or can you train yourself to overcome that
