Hi everyone – just writing to introduce myself as a new member to the community, based in London. Looking forward to joining in the discussions and learning / sharing from you all. Have been on 20mg Temazepam for the best part of 20 years but new doctor is reluctant to continue prescribing. The tablets had helped me lead a normal life and not now looking forward to going back to my Insomnia days which caused years of frustration before being prescribed sleepers to end the suffering. Feeling pretty gloomy right now. Managed two hours sleep last night. Good old NHS !November 22, 2011 at 2:43 pm #13242

Welcome to the forums. I can only imagine that anticipating life without Temazepam after using it for 20 years is daunting and worrying. It's amazing that your doctor prescribed the drug for so long, and is only concerned over your long term use of it now.
