hi all, my sleep issues started about three years ago at the age of 27. I had an event coming up that was causing me to feel restless and I couldn’t seem to turn my mind off. After a couple nights of getting no sleep I became filled with anxiety with how tired I was. I went to a doctor to see if there was something I could get to give me relief. She prescribed Xanax which worked like a charm however I then became dependent on it for sleep. After taking that for a couple of months I stopped and tried over the counter meds and even some other cognitive therapies such as meditating. Some nights are worse than others but I find myself dreading going to sleep because I just don’t know what kind of night it will be. Some nights I feel like I didn’t sleep at all yet had dreams that I could easily remember. CBD/weed pen has helped relax me but I am really trying to get back into a healthy sleep pattern that doesn’t require drugs or taking a pill. Anything that has worked for you would be greatly appreciated. I have started seeing a therapist in hopes to get some help through that as well.
