    Hi all,

    I’m new to this “sleep improvement” group as I’d now prefer to call it. I found Insomnia coach by literally going to my podcast app and typing in “insomnia,” hoping to find something relevant for my struggle the past several months. His content has been super helpful and calming for me so far.

    I’m a Christian and something that’s been helping me the past couple of weeks to calm down when anxious, intrusive thoughts about sleep occur is to incorporate ACT and my faith together: “I will accept whatever bad night of sleep God allows for me tonight and I’ll be ok.” This puts the situation out of my control and reminds me that there’s a “spiritual purpose” for my struggle that can redeem this.

    Also, I’ve found it very helpful to constantly anchor my mind back in the fact that my body WILL sleep eventually and it will get the sleep it ultimately needs without my coercion. And so will yours!
