I’ve had insomnia on and off for many years, largely fuelled by anxiety for which i have taken an SSRI and it has helped. Around menopause and after it, my sleep is even more fragile so I was given quetaipine for sleep. I take a quarter of a 25 mg pill to which I’m very attached and I’m scared of letting go of it and try the sleep training. Has anyone had success stories with coming off quetaipine?

It can be challenging to come off any medication, and this should only be done under the supervision of your doctor. You might want to ask about a tapering-off plan rather than going “cold turkey” — if you gradually taper-off while implementing techniques that create better conditions for sleep, the process might be a bit less challenging.
