I tend to wake at 3:30 am–I call it my witching hour but am changing that negative connotation since reading all the sleeping hints.  Difficult to get back to sleep but most times I do altho it may take a while.

Question: if you remove all clocks from your bedroom, how do you know when you have been awake 30 minutes (15 minutes according to other sleep experts) so that you get up and do something else?  When I wake at 3:30 I generally go to the bathroom and I see a clock on the way back so I see the time.  Hoping to get past that.

Does anyone use “delta” wave music at night to help with sleep?  Similar to white noise such as listening to rain or babbling brook.

Just thought I’d chime in on how to judge when you’ve been awake for 30 minutes. Simply use your best estimate! You may not be 100%, but you’ll likely be close, and that’s good enough.
