I first was dragged into this sleep disruption experience in August after falling badly down the stairs and being in so much pain. No doctors would help as my GP was retired and it was the FIRST lockdown. I didn’t see anyone for months as I live on a country road with no other houses. Now on the second – even worse lockdown – My sleep has not returned. I can now manage to walk around a track on my acres. I go outside to walk around it about 2 M a day with my cane, no matter what my sleep.
PS I also had to retire a few months early because of the lockdown. It’s a lot of change. Yesterday I saw a person – as they’ve allowed on visitor now for people who live alone. Hmm. There is life on the planet – interesting. (My husband died a few years ago and we had no children because I had cancer for many years).

As you pointed out, social isolation and inactivity can certainly lead to sleep disruption. It’s good to know you are, at least, still able to get outside and walk around (and you do this regardless of how you sleep). I wonder if there are any opportunities for some online socializing, or if there are some new hobbies or skills you might be able to challenge yourself with during these times of inactivity and isolation?
