Insomnia Land is crucial to those of us needing to connect with people who share our affliction of not being able to sleep. But I think we also need a place to share some of the good things. So that's what this is. Share your nights when you do sleep, share the good things that happen to you, related to insomnia or not.

The last three nights in a row I have had really excellent sleep! This happens maybe once or twice a year for me, so it's always a notable thing! Today I actually feel awake and capable of handling the day, and doing things. I've spent the morning doing nothing, however, except enjoying the feeling of not wanting or needing to go back to bed for a nap. Now I'm going to get dressed and do some housework.

What good things are going on with all of you?

        Hi, Caers,

I know what you mean about it feeling good when you get some sleep. My insomnia is cyclical…I go without enough sleep for days, feeling wiped out during the day, and then make up for it with a couple of good days. Boy, do I feel better! Sometimes I am able to catch a nap on the day after a sleepless night but often I have to just keep plodding along. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones to even get these brief respites. They are really great though.

I was excited last night when I felt a little sleepy at bedtime, which is 10:00 pm. I drifted off to sleep for approximately 1.2 or 2 hours. This is rare for me because I usually do not get any sleep until very late in the evening. Unfortunately I was not able to fall back to sleep, but just the fact that sleep came early in the evening is good news.

I love the idea for a positivity thread – thanks for getting this one started, Caers!

I have recently started land sailing; it's an awesome 'sport' and now I find myself constantly looking at the wind forecasts so I can get back out there! I did actually break the front axle of my land sailer the other day in very strong winds, but I am being sent a free replacement (thankfully).
