Also ready salted Kettle chips and Fruit and nut chocolate. Together of course – one block to two crisps.
Well, if you're going to be bad, you may as well be REALLY bad 😎
Even though I don't eat them, the Malteaser's ads crack me up
Caers✘ Not a clientWell, I take medication everyday to help with my anxiety and panic attacks, and it's not that it's addictive, but that your body finds a way to help with it's deficiencies and it doesn't want to give that up. There's a huge difference. Most anti anxiety meds aren't just a once in a while thing, it's an every day medication. I completely get your hesitation to turn to something like that though. Like I said, I only did a few years ago. There's such a huge stigma attached to it, but there really needn't be. *hugs*
Caers✘ Not a clientHey there, Margaret, nice to see you here.
So where in England have you lived? I lived in Oklahoma myself, when I was much younger. Didn't like it at all. Much prefer being back home in England. *waves*
Caers✘ Not a clientPain can be a bastard at keeping you awake. I take several strong pain meds just to get through the day, as do several of the other members here, I believe. It does help, in conjunction with my anxiety meds, and it's not a cure, but it helps enough to get a few hours of sleep at once instead of maybe an hour or so in few days. I'll take anything.
Good to see you around. Welcome to the board!
Caers✘ Not a clientI find the internets to be a rather comforting source of entertainment in my sleepless hours. I used to spend all my time reading, until I read everything (good), and then I was bored all over again.
Hi, welcome!
Caers✘ Not a clientHi Nikki! I hail from England myself. Ugh, I know the having no sleep for days and working and having kids. I can't take sleeping meds, they work the opposite for me, keep me up for days.
You say you often worry about the no sleep factor. Have you ever tried medication for anxiety? It doesn't “cure” my insomnia, since I've had sleeping problems since I was a baby, and all my life, but I do find that it helps me. It's something I put off until just a few years ago, and I was quite surprised it was at all effective, but it works enough for me that I stick with it.
You know, I always hate when people say, “Have you tried this, or that?” because invariably I have. But you didn't mention this particular thing, so I thought I'd bring it up. Anyway, looking forward to seeing you around the board 🙂
Caers✘ Not a clientOoooh I'll play along.
1. My favourite genre of movie is apocalypse and anything with explosions. And I have seen every terrible SyFy movie made at least twice.
2. I've had arthritis since I was 14.
3. My favourite food is coffee. Yes. It is a food.
4. I can read in five different languages. I can't speak any but English.
5. I hate microwaves and don't use them, and refuse to have one in my house.
