Carls✘ Not a client
Thank you for this information and advice Martin.
Carls✘ Not a clientThanks for reply and advice Martin.
im definitely in the latter category, as I still can’t sleep on holiday,I’m going on a long flight soon and the anxiety of knowing I will be starting my journey already exhausted is awful.
i would be interested in CBT for insomnia though thanks.
Carls✘ Not a clientI wish I had suggestions knackered again
Carls✘ Not a clientHi Ioana
do you have insomnia or are just having problems sleeping because you get woken up by the baby?
because not sleeping because you Can’t and having your sleep limited because of disruption are two different things.
Carls✘ Not a clientI make the mistake of just lying in bed when I can as I’m so tired, but I know it is not going to help the insomnia.
Carls✘ Not a clientHi That sounds awful gc.
?
all I can say is don’t let insomnia defeat you, the more you let insomnia ruin your life the worse the insomnia can be.
its very difficult but you have to try and do the things you would normally do even if you don’t sleep ?

I know how you feel?? I have regular nights where I do not sleep longest is probably about 7 days.
sleep deprivation cannot kill you though.
Carls✘ Not a clientHi Edgar
yes I do get a little respite but no more than a couple of hours 🙁
Carls✘ Not a clientSorry Edgar I didn’t answer your question why I mentioned could sleep kill you is because people say to me you would be dead if you continuously did not sleep and I am living proof you do not die from No sleep!!
Carls✘ Not a clientThank you Edgar and Martin
thats exactly how I feel Martin “tired but wired” and fatigued during the day rather than sleepy cause no matter how tired I am during the day I would not just fall asleep like some people can.
thanks for the links also.
Carls✘ Not a clientHi Edgar
I have consistent nights where I lie awake all night or I lightly doze for a short period when I am neither awake nor asleep.
Would you really die?
Carls✘ Not a clientHello
It sounds awful to suffer with insomnia as long as you have, and to have developed it at a younger age ( I think a lot of people on here were older when they had insomnia)
It must be horrible to live with for so long and feeling like you you have it forever now! 🙁
Carls✘ Not a clientHi sallyann
I’m 34 and my chronic insomnia started at 30 I really hope I don’t have it the rest of my adult life 🙁
Carls✘ Not a clientHi All
If I can manage on no sleep weeks on end then I find it really difficult to believe you struggle so much on 6 hours sleep! That is more than enough sleep.
Carls✘ Not a clientHi
over 12 years is a long time it must seem like you will have insomnia for rest of your life now 🙁
