trez83✘ Not a clientAs far as I can tell….in the sleep clinic they hook you up to a ton of wires and measure your brain waves as well as oxygen levels when you are asleep. I was told it would probably not be helpful for me….because you have to be asleep to be studied….and I just can't sleep. I was told that the vivid dreams I have might be related to narcolepsy….has anyone else ever been told this?
Another question….does anyone else find that when they are not sleeping well, that they have stomach upset in the AM?
I did read some interesting articles while I was at the doctors office. There was one about the different factors that can make a person more inclined to become an insomniasc. I think that perhaps these factors are becoming more prevalent and that is why more people are presenting with insomnia symptoms. Some of the factors involve personality traits, level of anxiety, whether or not you are easily aroused (not sexually), and whether or not you smoke.
Hope everyone is having a lovely day of being awake!
trez83✘ Not a clientI just went to a sleep doctor or something today, and she said that the vivid dream thing might be related to narcolepsy. Has anyone else ever been told this? I think she was just trying to find a way to justify a sleep study to my insurance company.
trez83✘ Not a clientI am from Colorado. I like gymnastics, baseball, and bowling. Now that the weather is getting nice I am looking forward tro getting in the mountains and doing some hikng. I also love to travel. I am headed to another state at the end of the week, and am hoping to make it to Chicago or TX this summer. I wish I could do more international travel, but it is not in the books right now.
trez83✘ Not a clientWhat is CBT?
trez83✘ Not a clientI have tried marijuana for sleep and for me all it did was make me really really hungry…..really paranoid….and then I had vivid dreams. This is for sure not the case for everyone, but just be aware it might make things feel a bit crazier. I too am also tired of people telling me what to do for sleep as if they are experts and this insomnia thing is a problem I am creating. I have a bed that plays music….it has like speakers or something in the mattress. The sound waves are suppossed to help with your bodies rythms and stuff. I have found that it keeps me entertained and I do not want to get up as mucgh….but I don't think it actually helps me go to sleep or stay asleep….but it is very cool and I would say give it a shot!!
trez83✘ Not a clientI have tried Trazadone as well and found that I had awful dreams and woke up feeling like I had run a marathon. Trazadone also gave me migraines. Out of all the drugs I have tried that one is my least favorite. Hopefully it will get better for you!
