    I think aromatherapy can definitely help calm the mind, which in turn can improve sleep. I am not convinced it can actually cure insomnia, but I have no doubt that it can improve sleep, so in that respect it's worth a try.

    Lavender oil has been found to improve sleep in a clinical study involving participants with heart disease:

    My wife and I are really into House of Cards – we have one episode left.

    Downton Abbey finished last week; it's still an entertaining show. I wonder how far they can take it. Surely they can't make too many more with the same cast? Maybe they'll jump forward to the Second World War era.

    This definitely wouldn't surprise me. Although I don't know of specific chemicals, it would appear that some molds may cause insomnia.

    Great idea for a discussion thread! I believe my insomnia started due to wedding related stress and anxiety… Mainly worrying about how to pay for it all! That was many years ago though and fortunately my sleep has improved significantly since then.

    I'm not a shift worker although it feels like it sometimes. When you work from home you find yourself working at odd hours. It requires a lot of discipline!
