The only time I've heard of Wellbutrin being mentioned alongside insomnia is as an actual insomnia cause!

    http://www.insomnialand.com/blog/this-antidepressant-may-be-the-cause-of-your-insomnia/

That being said, I'll fire this one out in the next insomniac bulletin and see if any other members can offer their advice/experience.

I've probably read about ten of his books. They deal largely with supernatural horror; if I remember correctly, it's more about physical beings using supernatural powers. Either way, his books are scary and very violent. I remember one in particular that was extremely disturbing – my girlfriend at the time couldn't get through it.

Welcome to Insomnia Land, Rose – you'll find plenty of support here, and hopefully some good tips and advice, too.

Have you tried any insomnia remedies that didn't involve medication? Were there any that worked better than others? It would be good to know how far along on this journey you are!

I've heard that Vitamins B6 and B12 can cause difficulty in sleeping – but I've only seen this mentioned once, so I am not sure how huge of an issue it is.

    Hi Rooz

I wrote about PMS and insomnia once before on the blog:

Most of the time though, I hear of links between insomnia and menopause. Here is one blog post you may find of interest:

As for treatment options (including bioidentical progesterone cream):

I hope this helps. It would be good to see other members chime in on this issue, too.

Welcome to the forums. Can you remember exactly when your insomnia began? If you know the trigger, it can often help when looking for a cure (or some relief at the very least).

I think insomnia has a lot of connections to other parts of the body and mind – that's one of the reasons why there's no universal insomnia cure.

Interesting stuff – thank you for sharing. I took a quick look at our blog archives, and only see cortisol mentioned twice. Once in terms of weight gain due to higher levels of cortisol being present when sleep deprived: http://www.insomnialand.com/blog/the-consequences-of-insomnia/ and once briefly associating cortisol with stress: http://www.insomnialand.com/blog/adaptogens-may-be-the-natural-insomnia-cure-youve-been-looking-for/

Well my wife and I were passing the movie theater recently and grabbed a matinee showing of the new American Pie movie. We only saw this one as it had the original cast – it was OK, I think my wife enjoyed it more than I did. I thought it was interesting to see how they placed the characters some ten years or so after the original movie; their careers, lifestyles etc.
