    Do you think you're building up a tolerance to the meds you're on, or do you think there's another reason behind the sleep getting progressively worse? A therapist may be a good option as cherrychapstik suggests. Have you investigated cognitive behavioral therapy or tried finding a sleep specialist?

    Flight would be awesome. Talking about flight, when you dream about flying (come on, we all have) how do you do it? In my dreams I always flap my arms really fast when running and then boom, I take off. Curious to know if I'm employing the same method as others!

    Going through a terrible bout of insomnia at the moment, and desperately seeking some input about what others have tried/found successful or unsuccessful etc.

    I went through a similar bout around 16 years ago, coupled with depression which ended in a complete breakdown & hospitalisation, so I'm determined not to go down that path again.

    It will be nice to have someone to share the wee small hours with 🙄 (although I'm trying to force myself to stay in bed & resist the temptation to get up & do something like read or go online, but that itself can turn into a battle that lasts hours & is quite unpleasant, which I'm sure most of you are familiar with.)

    Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

    Are you still on the sleep meds, or have you stopped taking them? What specific meds were you on? If you post a list of your meds and how effective they have been for you in the insomnia forum, other members who have given the same meds a try will be able to offer you their experience and advice.

    Not sure about CBT locations in Canada – you're probably best off asking your doctor for a referral, I'd imagine.
